SWIFT Connectivity and Infrastructure

We make SWIFT easier, helping our customers to minimise operational cost, simplify day-to-day SWIFT management activity and introduce richer levels of functionality and performance.

SWIFT Service Bureau. Our best-in-class Shared Infrastructure Service Bureau provides high levels of operational performance, as well as 24x7 support from SWIFT-trained and certified staff in America, London and India.

SWIFT Infrastructure – Remote Management. Enjoy the benefits of third-party expert management services by outsourcing the management and maintenance of your SWIFT infrastructure – securely and remotely – to us.

SWIFT Infrastructure – Dedicated Hosting. Reduce your on-site footprint and responsibilities by relocating your dedicated infrastructure to our data centers.

SWIFT Initiatives

We make compliance with SWIFT initiatives less costly and burdensome. We can help you understand your obligations, identify potential business impacts, and ensure compliance under initiatives such as SWIFT’s Customer Security Programme, Global Payments Initiative (GPI) and ISO20022, as well as others that will inevitably arise.

SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP). SWIFT requires all members with active BIC codes to annually self-attest that they are meeting a range of security controls (collectively referred to as the “Customer Security Controls Framework”, or CSCF) to protect the community from the growing threat of cyber-attacks and breaches. StoneX is intimately familiar with SWIFT’s range of security requirements and can assist customers with the successful implementation of these controls.

CSP Independent Assessment. In addition to complying with the CSCF, as from 2021 all SWIFT members must also perform an annual Independent Assessment on this activity in order to ensure that the necessary security controls are being correctly implemented and followed. StoneX Technology Services is listed in SWIFT’s directory of “Cyber Security Service Providers” deemed as having the relevant cyber security and SWIFT expertise necessary to perform an external assessment, which means we can provide this service to our customers.

GPI (Global Payments Initiative). Dubbed by SWIFT as “the new norm in cross-border payments”, SWIFT GPI (Global Payments Initiative) is a new subscription service that ensures international payments instructed through SWIFT meet the need for speed, traceability and transparency. By subscribing to the full GPI service, members can offer a faster payment experience to their customers, enjoy full end-to-end tracking of payments across the SWIFT network and clearly view any bank fees and foreign exchange rates charges along the journey. Universal Confirmations. Introduced by SWIFT in November 2020, ‘Universal Confirmations’ is part of GPI and requires all SWIFT members receiving payment messages (FIN MT103’s) to mandatorily confirm the status of these payments to a centralised ‘tracker’. Payments can be tracked manually using a web browser (provided by SWIFT), or customers can automate this process in several ways. ISO20022. By November 2025, all SWIFT members engaging in cross-border payments and/or account reporting activity will be expected to migrate from the existing SWIFT FIN standards to new ISO20022 standards. SWIFT members using FIN MT1-series, MT2-series and MT9-series messages will be impacted by this migration. ISO20022 goes Live in November 2022 and a ‘co-existence period’, during which members will be able to use both FIN and ISO, will run until November 2025 at which point FIN MTs will be decommissioned. Value-added Products and Services

Data Analytics and Reporting Tool (DART). The Data Analytics and Reporting Tool (DART) enables users to produce comprehensive, highly detailed reports from SWIFT messages quickly and easily. Our reports include operational statistics that can help you analyze message flows, find potential efficiencies, allocate resources more effectively, and adjust strategy accordingly. DART gives you access to all your historical data in one database and supports internal audit and regulatory requirements by providing convenient search and reporting of messages that can be retained for up to 10 years.

FIN Automated Delivery (FAD). FIN Automated Delivery provides real-time notification of MT messages, converts them into PDFs and emails them to clients based on configurable rules on any MT field. Customers selects the conditions for receiving email notifications, for example all payments greater than a certain amount, or all payments received from a particular counterparty, or for any other reason.

SWIFT Integration

We help make the information flows between your back-office systems and SWIFT more efficient, seamless and secure, while also providing strong tools data interrogation and reporting.
