Experience: Michael has spent his 40-year career in the financial services industry as an architect of capital formation, including as an investment banker, capital markets professional, and principal. He has extensive experience working with both domestic and international issuers and across all levels of the capital stack.

Highlights of Michael’s career include the execution of several notable IPOs, including that of Nano Nuclear Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NNE), Wall Street’s best-performing IPO of 2024. He also took Belite Bio, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLTE) public in 2023 at a valuation of approximately $150 million; the company currently has a market capitalization of approximately $3.5 billion.

Michael joined Benchmark in 2017 to leverage the firm’s institutional relationships and work with the investment banking department, which had recently been created by John Borer. Their success facilitated the sale of The Benchmark Company, LLC to StoneX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNEX) to expand its investment banking capabilities (StoneX Completes Acquisition of The Benchmark Company). As a StoneX company with access to over $2 billion in deployable capital, a global balance sheet, and a footprint across every major financial center, Benchmark has begun supporting clients with larger and more complex financings, spanning public equity, private placements, and structured capital solutions.

Michael holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BBA from Emory University. He prides himself on his ability to “begin with the end in mind,” leading to a direct and open style of client interaction.
