It was a heavy session for arabica, December once again took the brunt of the selling. Z6 settled at 286.75, down 7.00 cents, after trading a 9.10-cent range between 293.15 and 284.05. The front month was offered from the open and dropped quickly into the 287 area. It held a 287–289 band through mid-morning, then broke to fresh session lows near 284 before finding buyers and recovering toward 286 into the close. The day’s largest cluster of volume printed around 285.05 on the bid - sellers were actively pressing at the lows rather than buyers simply stepping away. Over the last two sessions, December flat price has blown through all the major moving averages on the daily chart, and the 200-day at 291.17 is now the nearest one overhead.

Another big move in Arabica Z/H  today - giving up 2.10 cents to settle at 10.55, down 5.05 cents in the past tow days. Market traded down from 12.25 to 10.15, with most of the volume between 10.30 and 10.90 and the point of control at 10.60. Yesterday’s OI and order flow supports the read that we are seeing long liquidation and some rolling forward out of spot.  1,412 lots of EFPs were posted in Z6 today, plus 158 in H7, along with 217 lots of EFS across the two contracts.

London followed lower, but in a more measured way. F7 settled at $3,199, down $21, inside a $3,185–3,230 range. The tape was choppy: two pushes toward $3,220–3,230 were sold, with the point of control at $3,200. Passive sellers absorbed a late push through 3200. F/H was steady, settling at $16 against $15 yesterday, with most of the volume traded at $12–13.

The market continues to work through the aftermath of the Brazilian elections, and we are likely seeing some position adjustment ahead of Friday’s COT release. USDBRL was near unchanged at 5.35 at the time of writing, after trading a 5.31–5.40 range on the day.
