Ahead of a slew of major central banking events, Razan Hilal breaks down the technical setups on gold and the US dollar index.
Hilal highlights that the US dollar index remains above the 96 support level, maintaining the possibility of a rebound toward 103 and even 125–127 if it can clear resistance. A drop below 96, however, could send it back toward 90 or lower.
Meanwhile, gold has consolidated for four months after hitting a record high near $3500. A break above $3450 could open the door to new records near $3780 and $4000, while a drop below $3300 could mean downside toward $3250 and $3130.
